The mission of Heartland Wildlife Institute^® is to provide deer and wildlife enthusiasts with the highest quality and best value mineral, food plots, and feeds available on the market today. Since we began, our focus has been to develop products that work well in regions that have a distinctive winter climate. We felt that this was a big need because most of the foot plot and "mineral" products on the market were developed in and for southern climates. Our versatile seed blends are very hardy and cold tolerant for our frigid northern latitudes and heat tolerant for the deep south.

Our manufacturing plant is Kalmbach Feeds^® located in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. This family-owned company has made high quality pellet products for over 40 years.  Recently, a new texturing feed facility was added, including a steam flaker, which allows us to have steam flaked corn made to fit deer rations. This results in a cleaner, more palatable, more digestible finished product.
